Opportunity is knocking on the PFL Door

The following post I wrote originally for MyMMANews to look ahead at where the PFL could take the Bellator brand. My initial reaction to PFL acquiring Bellator was not positive because it seems like a very poor move by Paramount to seemingly give away a live sports brand when that seems to be what still drives people to view platforms.

But I can’t change where they are now, so after I ranted about it on Coast-2-Coast Combat Hour last week, decided to look at the good the PFL could do with the position they are in. Check it out, and let me know what you think.

With the PFL officially acquiring Bellator MMA and looking to shake up the landscape of mixed martial arts as we know it, there’s a chance for them to do things that the UFC is not doing. Take advantage of a huge pool of fighters that are being overlooked.

The UFC seems to have done away with the Women’s featherweight division when Amanda Nunes decided to. Bellator has taken that division and its Champion Cris Cyborg and created some pretty great cards with her headlining her last few title defenses. The PFL’s…
