UFC 278 Main Card Picks
It’s UFC 278 Weekend
It’s been a while since I published some picks but I still do them with Matt Hawkins over at Coast-2-Coast Combat Hour. This week, we noticed since the UFC is partnered with Draft Kings that they added more detailed odds on their website so I wanted to publish my picks with those odds in this week’s letter along with some of my other recent work.
Of course, I have to add as always. MMA is hard to predict so play these picks at your own risk and enjoy the fights.
UFC 278 Picks
Kamaru Usman vs. Leon Edwards 2
Usman has gotten so good, that his wins and who they are over might be getting forgotten from before he won the title. There is a ‘2’ at the end of their marquee which means this is a rematch. Yes, both men have gotten better since they faced off in 2015, but that still means Usman is tons better than he was back then. He won a decision back then, this time I think he finishes Edwards. *Usman +240 to win by KO, +1200 to win by submission
Paulo Costa vs. Luke Rockhold
It’s been a while for Rockhold and his last two losses were by knockout. Frankly, I do not feel he has worn those losses well either. Perhaps the two-year layoff might do him well. Time away to rest…
