ONE Championship All in On Martial Arts

I like what they’re doing over there at ONE Championship

This week, ONE Championship announced that they would be appointing Leo Vieira as their Vice President of grappling and the fact that they’re going all in on grappling like that makes the hobbyist grappler in me very happy.

ONE Championship is doing a lot of stuff to get me on board with their product these days.

Not that I wasn’t already, but the amount of content they have been putting on YouTube lately along with the menu of martial arts competition has made me go all in on the promotion. It will be easier to get into once they start showing their events on Amazon’s Prime Video service too.

Vieira, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion, Pan American Champion, and ADCC World Champion will help with the growing roster of world class grapplers that have been showcased in ONE Championship events. Recently, Danielle Kelly and Mikey Musumeci made their debuts and the promotion has already featured Gary Tonon in both MMA and grappling matches to their menu of martial arts events.

Tonon will face Tye Ruotolo at ONE 157 on May 20 and Kade Ruotolo is scheduled to face Shinya Aoki on the same card. Adding grappling events to cards recently seems to have been more frequent so adding a Vice…
