The Best Fight Catalog Since Pride FC
Dana White is a promoter, a very good one. So, of course he’s going to say something like his Contender Series (DWCS) program is producing the best fight library since Pride Fighting Championships (Pride FC). After all, Pride was his competition back in the hey day of MMA when the UFC was still trying to get to where they are now. The UFC owns the rights to those fights now and that library, like the DWCS library is available on Fight Pass.
Pride FC was founded in 1997 and ceased operations in 2007, so that’s a lot of time to try and compare DWCS to. For reference, DWCS started in 2017 and has only had five “seasons”, so there’s still a lot of time to catch up before comparisons like that start.
PFL 2021 Championship
In keeping with the theme of the growth of MMA, the Professional Fighters League (PFL) closed out their 2021 season on Wednesday night. Some new champions were crowned while some of the 2019 champs were able to pick up their second, million-dollar checks.
