I’ve always liked Bellator MMA’s 135-pound division. Ever since I saw Joe Warren win the interim title at Bellator 118 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

I was impressed with the pace and pressure of the fight. Warren almost lost, then came around to win at that fight, then fight the younger favorite, Eduardo Dantas at Bellator 128 to unify the title. He beat a younger man but to see Warren compete then when he was already considered too old for the sport was inspiring to my old ass.

Ever since I remember always being entertained by Bellator’s bantamweights. One of my favorite fights in a non-title fight between L.C. Davis and Hideo Tokoro. Oddly enough, the event number is 135 and if you have never seen it, I highly recommend checking it out. It was a fight of the year candidate for 2015. Check out the below video for highlights and Jimmy Smith’s recollection of it.

Fast forward to Friday the 13th of August 2021, Raufeon Stots defeated Magomed Magomedov by unanimous decision at Bellator…
