Anthony Smith Does Not Want Jon Jones to Forget About Him

Anthony Smith lost to Jon Jones at UFC 235. His next fight was against Alexander Gustafson where he won by submission at UFC Fight Night 153 (UFC on ESPN+ 11). At the for that event in Stockholm, when Smith addressed what is next, he said he wanted another title shot and that he “wouldn’t still be here if I wasn’t chasing after Jon Jones.”

Smith does not want Jones to forget he wants another crack at him. While he already had his chance at UFC 235 and lost to Jones by unanimous decision. Afterward, Smith acknowledged he was off if his game when they fought but is still looking for another shot at Jones.

While Jones was boasting about his greatness before his longtime rival, Daniel Cormier is contemplating retirement after UFC 241, Jones said on social media, “Everyone I’ve ever faced has either retired, lost the rematch, switch weight classes or switched organizations.”

Smith felt the need to reply with, “not everyone.”

Jones might be focused on drawing Cormier into one more fight at light heavyweight but…
